Internal medicine service

Internal medicine represents the core of a hospital’s activity. The internist establishes initial contact with the patient, proposes the most appropriate diagnostic procedure, and, if necessary, involves the specialists most helpful in the proper management of the case.

The approach to the patient is based on the Problem Oriented Approach (POA) system; this is a method of systematically collecting data about the patient who, consistently, is placed at the center of the diagnostic pathway.

The dynamic evaluation of clinical signs and data acquired through the laboratory tests performed allow the goal of making a diagnosis in terms of prevention, nutrition, hematology, dermatology, diabetology and more to be pursued.

Our internists are able to help you in a wide variety of situations: from the first visit of a puppy (health check, formulation of a dietary plan, adoption of an ecto and endoparasite control plan, preparation of a vaccination plan) to counseling for more complex cases.
